mark twain said that   and of hawaii   the loveliest fleet of islands that lies anchored in any ocean
the garden islands grand attraction can be enjoyed from kokee roads many panoramic lookouts
but to fully appreciate its stunning beauty take the 3000 ft descent to waimea canyons forested floor  
via the kukui trail   better be in shape  its steep   best when dry  the river is prone to flash floods
spend a week and follow waimea river up into koaie canyon where you will find deep clear pools
